Lumiit

Get it out of your head.

A voice-first AI assistant: say what is on your mind, and it captures notes and reminders and acts across everyday tools like email, calendar and contacts.

The problem

Useful thoughts and small tasks turn up while driving, walking, or otherwise away from a keyboard. By the time you can open the right app the thought is gone — or it has become one more thing to remember.

This one started with a problem I had myself, which is the honest reason it exists.

What was built

A voice-first assistant you simply talk to. It captures notes and reminders, and works with the tools already in use — email, calendar, contacts — so a spoken thought becomes something that has actually happened rather than something else to process later.

It has been through beta and trials with real users, and has paying customers.

Why voice

Voice is not a better interface in general. It is a better interface in the specific moment when your hands and eyes are busy and the thought is perishable.

The design question was never "how do we add voice" — it was which moments the software should be reachable in at all.

What carries over

  • The best interface is sometimes the one that fits the moment, not the software
  • Capturing intent immediately removes work later
  • AI gets more useful when it can act, not only generate text
  • Several fragmented tools can hide behind one simple interaction
